Honors English 9

Course Description:

Honors English 9 is the first step on the path of high-expectation English coursework for the student’s high school career.  This class is designed to improve language arts skills in writing, reading and communication for students with advanced abilities.  Rigorous course work in the areas of reading comprehension and analysis, critical writing, thoughtful discussion, and language skills will be covered throughout each quarter. There will be a required summer reading assignment and accompanying essay that must be completed to remain in the course.
