Course Description:
Academic English 9 develops the student’s skills in reading, thinking, writing, listening, and speaking through an in-depth study of literature in a variety of genres and through researching informational materials. Continual development of language arts skills will include: literature appreciation, writing conventions, cooperative learning, basic research, skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, grammar, vocabulary and mechanics through various writing experiences and reading various literary forms and styles.
