British Literature

Since this is an English course for seniors, the theme of exploring one's personal identity is the thread that is woven through our work with literature and composition. While attempting to expose students to a wide variety of writing genres and styles in preparation for post-secondary and workplace writing, writing assignments are connected to aspects of each student's life as well as to the literature currently being read. The literary content of the course is a survey of British literature.  Public speaking and group components are also requirements of the course.
