The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the key to accessing most financial aid for college. Learn everything you need to know about completing the FAFSA in less than 2 hours.

You must complete the FAFSA to qualify for:
Federal and most state grants, scholarships, low-cost student loans, and work-study programs
Pennsylvania State Grant Program
Many school-based student aid programs

FAFSA Deadlines
Make sure you know your individual financial aid deadlines. They can vary by your school, location, program of study, and more.
The FAFSA can be completed after October 1 of your senior year
For the Pennsylvania State Grant, the deadline is May 1 for degree programs.
IMPORTANT! Even if you miss a deadline, still complete and submit the FAFSA. There may be the possibility of late awards.

FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION SESSION

The Marion Center Guidance Department will be conducting a financial aid information session on Thursday evening November 17 in the high school auditorium. The session will begin at 6:00pm. All interested seniors and their parents are welcome to attend. The FAFSA form along with grants, scholarships and loans will be discussed. This information will be applicable to any postsecondary school including four year, two year, trade, technical and nursing schools. If your child is planning on attending an educational program after high school, this information will assist you in completing the financial aid process. Students and parents can begin the financial aid process by using tax information from 2021.
