Algebra II
Course Description:
Algebra II is offered to students who are going to continue their academic preparation in mathematics. Algebra forms the basis for all upper level mathematics courses, so this course is crucial in helping the student gain the skills needed for further study of mathematics. Topics that were first introduced in Algebra will be built upon and applied to problems that require higher order thinking skills. Students will be challenged by new concepts that require graphing skill, function analysis, solving higher order equations, and investigating complex number systems. Material from Algebra II is found extensively on the SAT and Keystones. A scientific calculator is required.
