AP Calculus BC

Course Description:

The AP Calculus BC course is an extension of the AP Calculus AB course.  Topics will include:  integration techniques, infinite series, conics, parametric equations, polar coordinates, slope fields, and differentials.  This is a college-level course that follows the College Board Advanced Placement curriculum and syllabus.  This will be an intensive, fast-paced course with commensurate homework.   Students must complete a summer assignment and will be tested on this assignment the first day of class.  The goal of AP Calculus BC is thorough preparation for the Advanced Placement exam and college calculus courses.  Please note:  Students electing this course should be self-motivated to learn and to achieve a deeper understanding of mathematics.  Students and parents must sign AP Statement of Understanding.
