Algebra I

Algebra is offered to students who wish to begin their academic preparation in mathematics. This class is a study of the language, concepts, and techniques of algebra that will prepare students to approach and solve problems following a logical succession of steps. Skills taught in the course lay groundwork for upper level math, science, and technology courses. Algebra includes the introduction of variables, constants, expressions, equations, and functions. The language of numbers is examined. This is the traditional Algebra course and moves at a fairly fast pace.
