Plane Geometry

Plane geometry is a unified academic course in two-dimensional geometry offered to students who have successfully completed Algebra. The course is offered to adequately prepare the academic student in the areas of deductive proof and logical reasoning. Emphasis is placed on the methods of proof and the building of a foundation for logical, deductive, and inductive reasoning in all areas of study. Algebraic techniques and applications to geometry will be emphasized and used extensively. A scientific calculator is recommended.
