Intro to Graphics & Web Design

This introductory level graphics and web design course will require students to express themselves creatively through digital media applications. They will learn elements of graphic design techniques that will be used to create interactive products to educate, inform and entertain. Students will gain experience in creative problem solving and the practical implementation of those solutions across multiple areas of graphic communications. An exploration of web design will focus on basic design concepts used in creating Web-based publications. Students will use both a development tool and a content management system to create, view, edit, and manage simple to complex web sites. The course offers an intensive  hands-on production through project-based learning and assignments, which include: creating graphic design materials for the school, digital display updates, and web site maintenance.
