AP United States Government

Course Description:
Advanced Placement United States Government is intended to be the equivalent of a college-level introductory course. Students will analyze and evaluate current and past constitutional issues as well as explore institutions of government, political behavior, and public policy. Special emphasis will be placed on government’s relationship to the economy.

The instructor will be giving a summer assignment to prospective students, which will be due on the first day of class.

Near the end of the second semester, students have the option to take the Advanced Placement Examination on United States Government for college credit. (Fee required for test)
