Art II

This course is designed for students who have successfully completed Art I. The course includes in-depth aesthetic measures of two-dimensional design, drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, and commercial art, as well as three-dimensional construction through sculpture. The emphasis in this course is placed on working at the level of the student to develop abilities to understand advanced artwork. Students are expected to approach this course with determination to contribute original artwork on a sophisticated level of achievement, originality, and creativity. Sketchbook assignments are given on a weekly basis and are an integral part of the course.
