Course Description:
This course includes hand building, wheel throwing, molding, casting, coiling, and slab clay construction methods. Students will become aware of the physical properties of clay and glazes. This studio course instruction is directed to the beginner potter, using group instruction when it is appropriate and more often individual instruction as the need arises. Students are issued a student handbook with vocabulary, objectives, and course requirements.
