Advanced Art I

This course is designed for students with a serious intent and talent for art and who may possibly pursue art as a career.  The course includes in-depth aesthetic measures of two dimensional design, drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and commercial art.  Emphasis in this course is placed on working at the level of the student to develop abilities and understanding advanced artwork.  Students are expected to approach this course with determination to contribute original artwork on a sophisticated level of achievement, originality and creativity.  Sketchbook assignments are given on a weekly basis and are an integral part of the course.
