Spanish III

Course Description:
This course is offered to the capable and enthusiastic eleventh or twelfth grade student who has successfully completed both Spanish 1 and 2. Instruction will be explicitly in the target language in order to develop strong comprehension skills. Students will be required to use spoken output in the target language to maintain a high degree of speed and natural proficiency in speaking. The students will use culture in order to review and acquire more vocabulary and grammar skills, especially the present subjunctive tense. The students will study the history, literature, music, film and other cultural elements of some of the most influential Spanish speaking countries, such as Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and more.
