Spanish II

This course is offered to the capable and enthusiastic tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grade student who has successfully completed Spanish 1. The students will review the vocabulary and present tense grammar structures acquired in Spanish 1. The students will also focus on vocabulary expansion and narration in the past tense. Instruction will be explicitly in the target language in order to develop strong comprehension skills. Students will be required to use spoken output in the target language to maintain a high degree of speed and natural proficiency in speaking. Relevant and entertaining cultural items, such as songs, literature, and videos, will also be used in class to develop skills in reading and writing Spanish.
