Horticulture I/ Floriculture I

One of the most rapid growth areas in the field of agriculture is that of horticulture.  This course explores the basic principles of horticulture and floriculture.  The course will examine careers, cultivation of specific crops and plant propagation.  In addition up-to-date information on pesticides, taxonomy, and floral design will be presented.  Students completing the course will have practical experiences producing crops in the Jennifer Lydic Greenhouse.  This will prepare those students for an active career in horticulture and floriculture.
