Welcome

The Marion Center Jr/Sr High School Music Department proudly offers performance opportunities for all students in instrumental and vocal studies. Currently, elective courses include Junior High Band, Senior High Band, Junior High Chorus, and Senior High Chorus. There are also several opportunities to perform in extra-curricular and other advanced ensembles such as Marching Band, Jazz Band, Select Choir, Women's Choir, Men's Choir, Indiana County Music Festivals, and PMEA Festivals. Students are able to participate in both instrumental and vocal programs, and are encouraged to take advantage of additional performance opportunities as much as possible. Concert Band and Concert Choir performs 2 concerts each school year (Winter & Spring), with additional performances often throughout the school year. Students in grades 9-12 also have the opportunity to be a part of the Marion Center High School Chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society by achieving high academic and musicianship standards.

The goal of the MCHS Music Department is to provide quality music education to all students & empower our students to create, perform, and appreciate music in our lives. By instilling a sense of community in our department, our students will continue to support each other, reach their goals, and enjoy a life-long love of music.
