Child Development

This course is designed to empower individuals to meet the challenges encountered with children in everyday life as well as in an occupational realm. The topics covered include the theories and stages of child development, health and safety of children, the role of guidance, and building literacy skills. Students will be given the opportunity to engage with actual grade school students in a supervised atmosphere.
