Physical Education

Course Description:

This class fulfills .25 credits of the Physical Education requirements for graduation.    It consists of emphasizing the MCHS Health and Physical Education Department’s mission.  That mission includes teaching quality Health and P.E. classes and promoting wellness through fitness, skills and lifetime activities in a safe environment.  Each class consists of dynamic warm up, activity, flexibility and cool down.  Some activities include:  volleyball, pickleball, badminton, golf, archery, fitness topics, speedball, dance and tennis.  Grading is a collective of Participation (units of study and activities of the day), Preparation (appropriate dress) and Assessments (skill and written).  The overall purpose of Physical Education at MCHS is to promote positive health and physical activity habits, encourage lifetime activities and establish a foundation for positive health and wellness for life.
