Course Description:
United States History is a full-year required course which focuses on the late 19th century, all of the 20th century, as well as the issues our nation now faces in the 21st century. Students will incorporate geography, economics, politics, and the knowledge of global events to better understand our nation’s place in the world.  Students will analyze the changes the United States of America has gone through over the past one hundred and fifty years and will be encouraged to make connections or comparisons to the events happening today.  By understanding the causes and eventual results of these topics, it will better prepare us for the challenges that lie ahead for our country.
