Precalculus

Course Description:
Precalculus is an advanced mathematics course that uses meaningful problems and appropriate technologies to build upon previously learned mathematical concepts to develop the underpinnings of calculus. Precalculus closely examines, functions (including polynomial, rational, logarithmic, exponential, and trigonometric), analytical trigonometry, conic sections, series and sequences, and basic probability. Graphing calculators will be used regularly to teach and assess topics presented in the course. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be prepared to take calculus and other higher-level mathematics courses. A scientific calculator is required. This course is pending approval for College in the Classroom credits.
