ELA 7

The English 7 course is designed to allow students to critically read and write within a variety of text genres, promote a love of reading and foster independent reading skills, develop written and oral communication skills, and enhance vocabulary by giving students strategies to determine the meaning of unknown words.  The course will utilize a workshop approach for both reading and writing instruction, as well as rely on the Collins writing system to help students achieve greater clarity as they write for a variety of audiences and purposes. This course will also focus on developing critical thinking, media literacy, and research skills through group work, discussions, and projects.
