Concert Band
Course Description:
This course is offered to students who possess the ability to perform intermediate to advanced music on a band instrument. Students will perform a wide variety of music while being introduced to increasingly more advanced musical concepts. Coursework will relate music to other arts and subject areas as well as culture and society. Students will be required to listen to and analyze their own musical performances as well as those of others. Weekly lessons as well as two after school concerts are included as requirements for this course. Students in concert bands are highly encouraged to participate in marching band as well as audition for jazz band throughout the year.
